Redcliffe Peninsula
The Redcliffe Peninsula is definitely a cyclists dream with mainly flat easy stretches, a good mix of on and off-road options, and plentiful public amenities provided throughout the region.
Take your bike over the Hornibrook Bridge through Clontarf's Pelican Park and continue along the esplanade taking in the beautiful Brisbane views to Woody Point Jetty. Continue around the point to see the nearby Gayundah Wreck or just stay and watch the yachts from Humpybong Yacht Club racing in the bay.
For a longer journey, cycle along the length of the eastern stretch of the peninsular from Gayundah Espanade all the way up to Scarbough Beach. Along the way enjoy beautiful bay views, stop off for a bite to eat at one of the many seaside eateries, even see skydivers landing on the beach. If it gets too hot, stop and take a dip at one of the beautiful beaches along this section. Children will especially like to stop at Settlement Cove Lagoon for a splash in the pool.
